The City of Hot Springs Parks & Trails Department and the Garland County Library are partnering on their first StoryWalk™, featuring "Leaf Man" by Lois Ehlert. This program is a fun way to encourage residents to be outdoors by promoting early literacy and physical activity while spending quality time in nature with friends and family. This event is open to the public and will take place along the Utility Service Center Trail in the Hot Springs Creek Greenway through Wednesday, Nov. 30. The operation hours of the trail are between 30 minutes before sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset. This project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library and the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition.
The City of Hot Springs Parks & Trails Department will host the Adair Park Concert Series at Kenneth Adair Memorial Park, 358 Central Avenue, on Fridays and Saturdays from March 4 through Oct. 29, 2022.
This free event will begin at the Veterans Memorial with a guided leisurely stroll (approximately .75 miles one way on a paved surface) to the Monarch Butterfly Garden, located within the Valley Street Creekwalk Trail at the corner of Valley and Runyon streets. During the walk, DLAMN representatives will discuss the rich plant diversity growing along the creek.
