Precautions will be taken to abide by social distancing guidelines, which will limit the number of people allowed in Board Chambers at one time. Teleconference from anywhere: Please contact Michelle Sestili before 10 a.m. on the day of the meeting to receive the dial-in number. Having an idea of who will be joining our call helps facilitate the meeting efficiently. The dial-in number works from any cell or landline telephone, and everyone participating on the call will have opportunities to ask questions and make comments.

  3. Great American Clean-Up

    Calling all Volunteers! Join us Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 9 AM -11 AM at two locations along the Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail for the Great American Clean-up! While supplies last, we will provide t-shirts, safety vests, gloves, and trash bags. However, if you have your own safety vest, gloves and/or trash bag, you are more than welcome to use your own equipment. Bring your grabbers and waders, if you have them, and help us beautify one of the loveliest corridors in Hot Springs! See map for location of Sign-in Tents and Trash Drop-offs. Donuts and water will be available for all volunteers at each Sign-in Tent.

  6. Household Hazardous Waste Event

    May 15, 2021, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Garland County Fairgrounds

    Garland County residents can bring household hazardous waste to the county fairgrounds for a safe, free disposal of unused/leftover household products containing toxic, flammable, corrosive or reactive chemicals. A paint exchange area will also be available for paint that is still usable/stored in the original container with a legible label. Passenger tires (no rims) and electronic waste will also be accepted. “This drive-through event helps prevent improper disposal of hazardous waste, including placing them in household trash, pouring them down sinks, toilets or storm drains, or dumping them on the ground,” said CHS Solid Waste Director Randy Atkinson. “Left stored improperly at home, hazardous waste can pose danger to children/pets, and possibly cause hazardous fumes/fires.” The event, sponsored by the SWC Regional Solid Waste Management District, is for household quantities only. Hazardous waste from companies/businesses will not be accepted.

  11. Lake Hamilton Memorial Day Fireworks

    May 30, 2021, 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM @ Lake Hamilton; at the first Highway 7 bridge opposite of the Doubletree Hotel.

    In case of rain, the fireworks will be held on Monday, May 31. Those who want to watch from the water are asked to keep a safe distance from the fireworks launching area and keep watch for fellow boaters. The fireworks will be synchronized with music on radio station 97.5 FM US97 when fans watch the display. Sponsored by Visit Hot Springs
