A celebration of City Manager David Watkins’ life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 21 at First United Methodist Church, 1100 Central Avenue in downtown Hot Springs.
City Hall will be closed on Friday afternoon so that city staff can attend. The family has asked that those wishing to honor Mr. Watkins’ legacy consider donating to one of the following:
? United Way of Garland County , where Mr. Watkins served as a Board member and
supporter throughout his professional life;
? Cooperative Christian Ministries and Clinic: http://ccmchs.org/donations/ , where
Mr. Watkins also served as a board member; and
? The University of Kansas MPA program: http://kupa.ku.edu/giving , where Mr. Watkins was
a proud alumnus and member of Kansas University City Managers and Trainees
(KUCIMAT)
The family also asks those wishing to send floral arrangements to send sunflowers.
