[ARCHIVED] Boil order lifted for Crystal Springs area

At approximately 4:45 p.m. this afternoon, the Arkansas Department of Health released the boil order issued on Monday by the Hot Springs Utilities Department for residents and businesses on the following streets: North Crystal Springs Road, Dogget Drive, Crystal Place, Cordell Drive, Cordell Terrace, Dudley Circle, Kelso Lane, Cordell Trail, Cordell Court, Hickory Nut Mountain Road, Crystal Campground Road and Safari Way. The order was issued following a water main which was washed away due to flooding related to a heavy rainfall event. Crews restored water service on Monday afternoon.

Bacteriological samples taken on Monday, May 11, 2015 were found by ADH to be free of bacterial contamination, and a satisfactory disinfectant level has been established throughout the distribution system. The water is therefore considered safe for human consumption, and the boil order notice has been lifted.
