[ARCHIVED] City offices now closed

HOT SPRINGS – Non-emergency city personnel may leave city offices at 9 a.m., according to City Manager David Watkins. Public safety and the airport will continue to be open, and a reduced city workforce will continue services and communications. Hot Springs Intracity Transit bus and paratransit service is now suspended. All Sanitation services are now suspended; today’s unfinished routes will be made up on Monday.

Residents are advised to avoid using the MLK Expressway, 7 South and all bridges, as the roads are now treacherous with ice building on them. The Hot Springs Police Department advises residents to stay off the roads if at all possible.
