The Garland County District Court (GCDC) will be offering an amnesty period to individuals with active Failure to Appear or Failure to Pay warrants. For a limited time – Monday, April 4, through Monday, April 18, 2022 – individuals will be able to resolve outstanding warrants without going to jail or posting bonds.
“For individuals who have failed to appear, have outstanding balances of fines or costs with District Court, have fallen behind on a payment plan or are afraid of being arrested for failing to appear or pay, you don’t want to miss this offer,” said Judge Meredith B. Switzer. “This is a great opportunity to settle with the court.”
Those with active Failure to Appear or Failure to Pay warrants may report to the GCDC office, 607 Ouachita Avenue, on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the amnesty period to schedule a new court date, pay for the charges in full or reset a payment plan. Additional incentives, such as discounts on balances or releases on an individual’s driver’s license, may be available to those who resolve an outstanding balance for fines and costs.
