[ARCHIVED] Official HSPD Release: Potter Street Shooting

On Thursday, December 3, 2020 at approximately 5:44 p.m., Hot Springs Police Department officers responded to the 300 block of Potter Street in reference to a shooting. On arrival, officers were advised that a victim had been transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle. Contact was made with the juvenile victim, 16, and it was discovered that the victim had suffered serious injuries consistent with a shooting while near a residence on Potter Street.

During the course of the investigation, Dyonsae Merraye Famous, 18, of Hot Springs, was identified as the actor. Felony warrants for Battery in the First Degree and Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm were obtained for Famous and are currently active.
