HOT SPRINGS -- Improvements to the “Lance Albaugh Medical Stop” have recently been completed at the bus stop on Hollywood Avenue near the emergency entrance to National Park Medical Center.
The stop is named after Albaugh because he recently alerted Hot Springs Intracity Transit about the difficulty he and other patrons who use mobility aids were experiencing when trying to navigate between the bus stop and the hospital entrance. The city’s Street Division made a curb cut and a concrete step area to the sidewalk adjacent to the bus stop, making it much easier for Albaugh and others to use. A bus bench provides additional convenience for hospital patrons.
