[ARCHIVED] Official HSPD Release: E. Grand Avenue Shooting

On Saturday, September 12, 2020 at approximately 12:20 a.m., officers with the Hot Springs Police Department (HSPD) responded to 1374 E. Grand Avenue, Hot Springs, in reference to a shooting. Officers entered the business and found one black male, identified as Robert Johnson (49) of Hot Springs, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The male was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is currently listed in serious condition.

Witness statements at the scene suggested that a brief altercation with the victim and suspects occurred and moments later the victim was shot multiple times by one of the suspects.

On 09/13/20, Scottie White was arrested pursuant to valid warrants for Accomplice to Battery in the 1st Degree and Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons.

Warrants are currently active for the second suspect, Tony Collins (Black Male, 5’08”, 175 lbs., Black hair/brown eyes, DOB: 09/28/74), for Battery in the 1st Degree and Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons. If you are aware of Collins’ current location, please do not approach him; please alert the HSPD or call 911 immediately.
