[ARCHIVED] Official HSPD Release: Follow Up on Twin Points Rd. Shooting

hspd headerOn August 21, 2020, officers with the Hot Springs Police Department responded to 907 Twin Points Road, Hot Springs, in reference to a shooting. Officers entered the residence and found two black males, later identified as Tyson Stewart and Kason Porter, each suffering from gunshot wounds. Tyson Stewart was pronounced dead at the scene and Kason Porter was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Evidence at the scene suggests there was forced entry into the home and both, Stewart and the occupants of the residence were armed with firearms. Drugs, drug paraphernalia and several firearms were recovered from the scene. Detectives are currently conducting further interviews, awaiting records from subpoenas and Arkansas State Crime Lab results. Detectives are diligently investigating the incident and will present their findings to the Prosecuting Attorney upon conclusion of the investigation.
