The sidewalks and curb cut ADA accessibility ramps along Hobson and Linwood avenues, located around the Hot Springs School District Central Office building will be under construction from Thursday, June 25, until Friday, July 10, 2020.
This is the first out of seven Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) sidewalk and accessibility improvement projects, which will be completed by Julian Goslee Construction Company. There will be no cost to the Hot Springs School District for the construction, as this is paid in full with CDBG funds.
This project will include curb cut ADA accessibility ramps in front of the Roy Rowe Educational Auditorium and at two corners of School Street and Hobson Avenue. Broken sidewalks will also be replaced at the main entry on Linwood Avenue and the north entry on Hobson Avenue.
Signs and flagmen will be posted and motorists will need to use caution in this area. Accommodations will be made for pedestrians and it is encouraged for individuals to temporarily park off-site to help with the construction process.
