On Wednesday, July 3rd 2019 at 10:12pm, officers with the Hot Springs Police Department responded to 333 Cooper Street, in reference 
to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located one victim James David Allen Echols (27) of Hot Springs, deceased inside the house.
During the investigation detectives developed Christopher Dean Harnar (26) of Hot Springs, as a suspect. This afternoon, detectives arrested Harnar for Murder in the 2nd Degree, two counts of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons.
No motive is known at this time.
He is being held at the Garland County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.
