Nighttime motorists will need to use caution when traveling the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Expressway, between Central Avenue and Airport Road, next week as road construction continues nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday.
The project is being completed by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT), and is anticipated to take 60-90 days (weather permitting) starting around June 7. Work includes milling, repaving, drainage and bridge work on the approximately three-mile span of highway.
Crews will be working in various areas simultaneously, and traffic will be reduced to one lane. Signs will be posted to direct traffic.
