[ARCHIVED] Burrough elected ACMA President

On April 26, Bill Burrough was elected as President of the Arkansas City Management Association, Inc. (ACMA). The purpose and commitment of ACMA is to enlighten and perfect the proficiency of local government by having high ethical standards and by providing quality conference programs to educate local city managers, administrators and their staff, as well as, aspiring young individuals. They also promote interconnecting between the members to strengthen community awareness of issues each city may face and other similar and related beneficial purposes.  As a state-based association of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), ACMA also supports the vision of forming and assisting expanding communities globally.

Burrough is a native and lifelong resident of the City of Hot Springs. His career spans 35 years of upper to executive level management positions in both the private and public sector. He spent his first 10 years with the city as the solid waste director and the latter seven as the deputy city manager. During this time, Bill served as the interim city manager on two occasions and was officially named the city manager in December 2018. Bill and his wife, Tonya, have four children, Jordan, Chase, Dawson and Rylee. They are also the proud grandparents of one-year old, Parker.
