Operation Clean Sweep, a three-week, multi-departmental, concentrated neighborhood beautification event, will begin on July 10 in a large area behind the Oaklawn racetrack. The target area is from Morrison Street to Golf Links, and from Central Avenue to Shady Grove Road.
July 10-14 - The Planning & Development Department’s Neighborhood Services Division will drop off packets door-to-door and write up any violations. The packets contain important information concerning various city services offered during and after Operation Clean Sweep. The packet will also include a violation notice for properties identified as violating the city’s property maintenance ordinance.
July 17-21 - The Solid Waste Department will conduct daily trash pickup, collecting items placed curbside by residents. The Street Division will assist with street sweeping.
July 25-28 - Neighborhood Services will re-inspect for compliance of violation notices issued in Week One. Police, Fire and Animal Services will address any safety concerns.
