Sergeant Frank Abbott and Sergeant Chris Adkins of the Hot Springs Police Department were presented with Patriot Awards today by Richard Green, Arkansas Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve in recognition of extraordinary support of their employee serving in the National Guard. Abbott and Adkins were nominated for being highly supportive of the National Guard service by their Reserve Component employee, Specialist Joseph Samuels, who is a member of the 153rd Infantry Battalion, 39th Infantry Brigade, Arkansas Army National Guard. He serves in the Police Department’s Patrol Division.
“Supportive employers like Sergeants Adkins and Abbott, along with Police Chief Jason Stachey, create a culture of support throughout the department. This type of support is vital to the success of our mission and the defense of this nation,” said Richard Green, Arkansas ESGR. “Our Guard and Reserve members could not perform their military duty without knowing their civilian employer supports them 100 percent.”
ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States. For more information about ESGR, contact Green at 501-212-4096 or angcms4@att.net .
