Power and phone service is currently down at City Hall and the City Hall Annex after yesterday afternoon's storm. City employees at these locations have been dismissed but asked to remain on standby in the event that power is restored.
Street crews are clearing obstructed storm drains and removing downed trees throughout the city. Trees entangled with electrical wires will not be removed until Entergy can deactivate the lines. Traffic crews are working to restore street lights in multiple areas. Hot Springs Municipal Utilities also reports a number of pump stations offline due to power outages. The public's patience is appreciated while the city works to restore service.
