(12-1-22) Water Project Bond Issuance and Water Rate Increase Press Conference

The City of Hot Springs (CHS), in response to a possible referendum of the needed water rate increase to support the water bond and due to the current shortage in the City’s water system, will place a temporary suspension of all new water connection applications for those served by the City’s Waterworks System if and when verified signatures are submitted for the referendum.

(08-23-22) Tunneling begins at intake site

On Aug. 23, 2022, a day after the Launching & Dedication Ceremony in which the micro tunneling machine was named "Miss Elaine" in honor of District 2 Director Elaine Jones, Michel's Corp. carefully hoisted the custom-built machine into the 72-inch encasement pipe, marking the official beginning of what will be the longest 56-inch Direct Pipe® tunneling project to date in North America.

Intake Site - Lake Ouachita Water Supply - Document Name - 180822_5A 72-inch stainless steel knife gate valve arrived at the Blakely Mountain intake site on Wednesday, Aug. 17, after supply chain issues caused delays in its production and delivery from Chattanooga, Tennessee.
