Paid Time Off (PTO) Accrual Rates

Uniformed (not Police or Fire) - Regular full-time non-uniformed employees are eligible for PTO leave after completion of 90 days of employment.

Insurance

Employee medical coverage is available for $10 per pay period, and dental and life/AD&D coverage is paid for by City. 

Dependent coverage is available, and is paid for by the employee (see the Group Insurance Premiums chart below).

Insurance is effective the first of the month that follows your 60 days of employment. For example, an employee is hired on January 15 (01/15/20XX), the insurance would begin on April 1 (04/01/20XX).

  • Life/AD&D - Equal to one year's salary; AD&D amount the same.
  • Retirement - Employees must contribute 5% per pay period, vested after 5 years of service.

Employee Retention Plan

This benefit provides annual longevity payments, made on the first paycheck in November to full-time permanent employees, based on the employee's years of service reached in the prior fiscal year and on the date of hire (see payment schedule below). The benefit also pays an additional $500 on the employee's 5-year anniversaries of hire date.
