Deputy City Managers

The role of the deputy city managers (DCM) includes providing administrative oversight and support to the majority of the city departments. In addition to these duties, the DCM acts as city manager during times when the city manager is out of the office.

They provide assistance to the city manager in various city matters, including budget development, policy decisions and personnel issues. The DCMs serve on several city committees as designated in city ordinances and/or as assigned by the city manager (to view professional affiliations, see the Professional Affiliations section below).

For specific duties, each deputy city manager will have responsibilities designed to his talents.

The departments are divided between the two DCMs, tailored to their respective backgrounds and interests.
