About the Civil Service Commission

The commission performs various personnel-related functions related to the city's uniformed departments (fire and police) including administration of hiring and promotional testing. The commission consists of five members and is established by H.S.C. §10-3-1 pursuant to state law.

Members serve a term of 6 years.
