Clean, Attractive Property Service (CAPS) is a service provided by the Solid Waste Department to city residents who wish to dispose of large bulky items such as couches, mattresses, furniture, brush, and appliances such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, and water heaters.
Pickup Days
Pickup days are listed below:
Monday & Thursday - Brush
Brush that is picked up by CAPS is ground and recycled into compost. Brush must be cut 6 feet in length or less, and no larger than 24 inches in diameter. Please do not mix with trash, wood, paper, cans, bottles, or wire.
Tuesday & Friday - Miscellaneous
Items to be picked up include items such as couches, mattresses, furniture, wood, and building materials. Do not mix items for pick up with household garbage, plastic bags, cardboard, paint, batteries, or tires.
Wednesday - Metal
Items to be picked up include dishwashers, washers and dryers, refrigerators, water heaters, and metal items only. Please remove old food from refrigerators and freezers.
Pickup Times
Items scheduled for pickup must be placed curbside by 6 a.m. We offer special assistance to the disabled and elderly. We also need at least 20 feet of overhead clearance to safely operate equipment. Please do not place items under low power lines or tree limbs.
Residents may have two collections per year at no cost, up to one ton, and there will be a charge of $20 for each collection thereafter. To schedule a CAPS pickup, call 501-321-6921.
Cost
First two pickups are free, up to one ton per collection. Each additional collection is $20 for the first ton and $45 per ton thereafter. Commercial customers are charged $45 per ton or $15 for the first item, and $5 for each additional item picked up on the same day. There will be a charge of $20 per item containing refrigerant (i.e., refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners).
