The Hot Springs Police Department's Communications Division (Dispatch) is responsible for the intake of call for service from the Emergency 9-1-1 system, as well as from the HSPD's non-emergency phone number (501-321-6789).
They bear the responsibility of dispatching all HSPD officers to calls for service, as well as dispatching calls for service for the Hot Springs Fire Department. Additionally, they provide support functions for our local ambulance service by way of 911.
All Hot Springs Police Department Communications Division staff receive national certification through the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials-International (APCO).
The Communications Division's completely civilian staff is supervised by Communications Supervisor Steven Bates and report to Support Operations Bureau Lieutenant Chris Hays.
