City occupation taxes due by March 31

City occupation taxes must be paid no later than March 31 for all businesses operation within, or conducting business within, the city limits. On April 1, a 10 percent penalty will be applied to all unpaid businesses.

Persons owning a business that closed in 2016, and who received a 2017 occupation tax statement, must give written notice to the city revenue office to have the business removed from the tax rolls. Payments may be made at the Bill Edwards Center, 517 Airport Road, Suite C, Room 12, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

City Ordinance 3836 requires any business operating in the city to obtain an occupation tax license. Call 321-6826 for information.
